<br />Minutes - page8 <br />October 2, 1979 <br /> <br />TOWN OF SUPERIOR <br />LETTER <br /> <br />which means that the City has 15% to use <br />before any planning is necessary. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl statE~d that the City can service <br />Superior and the shopping center well <br />within the 15/.~ capacity they still have. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl noted that the state responded <br />that the propsed interceptor will serve <br />the C.V.M. whi.ch the state is in opposition <br />to along with the proposed development to <br />be included in the balance of the area. <br /> <br />In another section of the report from the <br />City they note that they would be concerned <br />if the provision for sewer service in <br />Superior 'were to subs idize in any way, <br />the C.V.M. construction. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BILLS <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would like to <br />follow up and their response and send <br />a letter to some infLuential-,legislators <br />and inform them of what is going on <br />with Governor hired officials as they <br />are taking state laws and bending them <br />to suit their own philosophy. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read a law regarding determining <br />the suitability of a site location for <br />any sewage plant, treatment plant, inter- <br />ceptor or pumping station and that the <br />commission will consider the long range .::; <br />planning for the area and the consolidation <br />of plants interceptors and pumping stations; <br />to stop the building of small plants, etc <br />along the highways. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl requested Councils permission to <br />send the letter in response to the letter <br />received by Superior from the State Officials. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Mr. Wurl be <br />allowed to send a letter to state legislators <br />informing them of the state officials <br />actions. Seconded by Councilman Berry. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Treasurer Hesson read bills totalling <br />$139,398.25. Councilman Caranci moved the <br />bills be accepted and checks issued. Seconded <br />by Councilman Kilker. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the meeting be <br />adjourned. Seconded by Councilman Meier. <br />Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9.:22 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />
