SUBJECT: SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH & QUARTER ENDED <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 <br />DATE: AUGUST 23, 2021 PAGE 2 OF 3 <br />The monthly and year-to-date sales tax revenue by Area Reports represent the YTD retail <br />health of various quadrants of the City. These reports include all vendors remitting tax to <br />the City. <br />The Monthly Revenue by Area sales tax report for September 2022 indicates increases for <br />Downtown, Hwy 42 South, South Boulder Road, Centennial Valley, and Outside city sales. <br />Decreases were reported in the Interchange, McCaslin North, CTC, Hwy 42 North, Pine <br />Street, and South Suburban areas. Louisville Plaza remained steady. <br />The Quarterly Revenue by Area sales tax report through Third quarter 2022 is a one -page <br />snapshot for major areas in the City. The original (13) sectors have been combined into (5) <br />major areas, McCaslin/Western, CTC/Eastern, South Boulder Rd/Northern, <br />Downtown/Central and Outside City. <br />Through Q-3, South Boulder Rd/Northern, CTC/Eastern, Downtown/Central and Outside <br />City areas have all increased compared to Q-3 2021. McCaslin/Western had a slight decline. <br />The Third Quarterly Revenue by Area sales tax report through Q-3 2022 provides a more <br />granular look at individual areas of the City. All areas that have increased compared to Q- <br />3 2021 with the exception of Interchange, South Boulder Rd, McCaslin North, and Pine <br />Street. <br />The monthly and year-to-date sales tax revenue by Industry Reports represent the retail <br />health of individual industry sectors of the City. These reports include all vendors remitting <br />tax to the City. <br />The Monthly Revenue by Industry report for September 2022 indicates gains for the <br />industries General Merchandise, Service, Finance/Leasing, Furniture, Wholesale, <br />Automotive Food/Beverage, Manufacturing, Building Materials/Construction and <br />Communications/Utilities. The Grocery industry, Building Materials/Construction, <br />Manufacturing, Apparel, and Agriculture have declined for the month of September 2022. <br />The first Quarterly Revenue by Industry sales tax report through Third quarter 2022 <br />represents (13) industry sectors that have been grouped into (7) major categories and are <br />color -coded. <br />All industry sectors ended up with the exception of Groceries through September 2022 <br />compared to same period in Q-3 2021. <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE COMMUNICATION <br />5 <br />
