SUBJECT: SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH & QUARTER ENDED <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 <br />DATE: AUGUST 23, 2021 PAGE 3 OF 3 <br />As with the revenue by area reports, a Third quarter more granular year-to-date sales tax <br />report by industry sector has been provided through Q-3 2022. Industry increases were in <br />all sectors with the exception of Groceries. However, the most impacted industry sectors <br />were, Service, Finance/Leases and Manufacturing. <br />The last set of Quarterly Revenue by Industry sales tax reports separate Inside -City and <br />Outside -City sales tax revenue. <br />Through September 2022, Inside -City sales tax revenue has increased 3.1 % compared to <br />the same period in 2021. Industry declines were in the Grocery, Building Materials, and <br />Furniture sectors. <br />Through September 2022, Outside -City sales tax revenue has increased 34.3% compared <br />to the same period in 2021. Increases remain across the board with exception of Groceries. <br />The Restaurant Revenue graphs through September 2022 reflect continued improvement <br />for all areas since April 2021, however, Downtown is slightly down. <br />The Q-3 Historical Sales Tax Report reflects the Third quarter of 2022 ended 13.6% higher <br />than the Third quarter of 2021. <br />FINANCE COMMITTEE COMMUNICATION <br />lei <br />
