SE.t .ABER 5, 1978 Minutes - page 2 COLORADO HEALTY SYSTEMS REQUEST COUNCIL VACANCY AUDIENCE COMMENTS CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ORDINANCE NO. 602 SECOND READING PUBLIC HEARING MAJOR THOROUGHFARE FEE ORDINANCE NO. 603 SECOND READING CONTRACTOR FEES AMENDED Mr. Wurl stated that they are asking for names of persons who might be interested in serving on the Board. Mayor Waschak requested that the request be printed in the paper. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the vacancy be advertised in the paper with the dead- line being September 15, 1978 and the person be sworn in at the first meeting in October, 1978. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Roll call vote, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. There was a connnent from Joe Colacci stating that he felt the City was getting to many liquor outlets and felt that there should be some type of control. He also asked for the zoning of his property on Pine Street as he was interested in putting in office space. Mr. Conarroe asked about the progress of the parks vandalism group. He felt that maybe the parks should be closed to alcoholic beverages in the evening. Mayor Waschak stated that many nearby communities close their parks in the evening to partiers and this is the reason we get the people from outside the City. Attorney Joss stated that all necessary publications have been made and read the ordinance on second reading by title only. Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. There were no comments for or against. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 602 be adopted. Seconded by Council- man Kilker. Roll call. DiCarlo no, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes. Motion carried. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on se- cond reading by title only. Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance No. 603 be adopted. Seconded by Council- man Caranci. Roll call. DelPizzo yes, Caranci yes, Kilker yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried.
