COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />DELPIZZO <br /> <br />MEIER <br /> <br />Page 3 <br />Louisville Council <br /> <br />July 12, 1978 <br /> <br />Proposals were received from architects with the <br />following results: Z.B.F.K. 15% of project costs; <br />Lord and Associates, Boulder, 12% of project costs; <br />Colburn and Associates, Aurora, 9% of project costs. <br />Estimate from City staff is $200,000 but coud go as <br />high as $280,000 and have the ability to pay it with <br />this plan. Staff requested from the architects the <br />preliminary overall cost figure so it could be determined <br />and try to get it all done. LengthY discussion. <br />Motion by Meier authorizing the contract with Colburn <br />& Associates for necessary architectural work to re- <br />model City Hall. Seconded by DelPizzo. Question <br />called for. Roll Call vote. DiCarlo yes, Meier yes, <br />Caranci yes, Kilker yes, and DelPizzo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Administrator said that next Council Meeting will be <br />Tuesday, July 18 and requested a Study Session on <br />Wednesday, July 19, 1978 to discuss salary increases <br />if that is possible. Time: 7:30 P.M., City Hall. <br /> <br />Caranci moved that the City Administrator's report be <br />placed on file. Seconded by Kilker. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzoasked if it was possible to open <br />South Street over the railroad tracks? Discussion. <br />Motion by Caranci to leave it as is. Seconded by Di- <br />Carlo. Question called for. Roll Call vote. DelPizzo <br />no, DiCarlo yes, Meier yes, Caranci yes, Kilker yes; <br />to leave South Street crossing at Railroad tracks as is. <br />Motion carried. More discussion. Motion by DelPizzo <br />that the City smooth out pathway for easy walking over <br />the tracks. Seconded by Meier, if the RR has no ob- <br />jections to city smoothing over the area. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Meier reported on July 5 meeting of Consortium of Cities, <br />Solid waste management plan; replacing the green boxes <br />in the mountains (4 mile canyon) with trash compactors. <br />Charge would be 1/2 price of regular costs, but why <br />support the one living in the mountains. Meier believes <br />the City should make a comment to the County Consortium <br />that we do not approve of this. Motion by Meier that <br />City Council instruct Administrator Wurl to write a <br />
