Documentation from the <br />Sales Tax Division was also presented. The Secretary informed the <br />Authority that while the licensee had spoken to both her and a <br />member of the Sales Tax Division staff, no payment of Sales Tax or <br />filing of tax returns had been completed by the licensee prior to the <br />meeting. <br />After a brief discussion, Carlson moved that a Show Cause Hearing <br />be conducted on the renewal at the May 22, 2023 meeting; Kaufman <br />seconded. All in favor. <br />B. Public Hearing — New Application: DBC Trading Post No. 2, LLC d/b/a <br />Buffalo Restaurant & Bar and Westbound & Down Brewery — Brew <br />Pub License — 1849 Cherry Street, # 3 <br />The Public Hearing was opened by Machado. The Secretary stated <br />the application was complete, the premises was posted, notice <br />published as required and no comments were received. There were <br />no reasons to deny the application. <br />There were no authority member disclosures and the members <br />agreed that the boundaries of the neighborhood are the current city <br />boundaries. <br />Machado moved the entire application be made part of the record of <br />the hearing; Kaufman seconded. All in favor. <br />The applicants represented by, Attorney Robert Runco and Mr. Jacob <br />Gardner, were sworn in by the Secretary and gave testimony on the <br />location, the nature of the business and the desire for a liquor license. <br />Applicants stated that this location would not be open to the public at <br />this time and would be distribution, office space, and light <br />manufacturing operations only. <br />Authority members asked for clarification on the license type as it <br />related to the location since there will be no retail sales. <br />Nirvan Khokhani, a Louisville resident, spoke in favor of the <br />application and expressed the needs and desires to grant this liquor <br />license. <br />Jeanne Mitchell, a Louisville resident, spoke in favor of the application <br />and expressed the needs and desires to grant this liquor license. <br />Peter Krauss, a Louisville business owner, was not there to speak in <br />support or opposition to the application, but did have questions <br />regarding the license application and the nature of the business. <br />
