Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 24, 2023 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />After a brief discussion, Kaufman noted that the applicants were of <br />good moral character, there is a desire for the license to be granted <br />and that all City and State law requirements have been met. Based on <br />those findings, Kaufman moved that the Brew Pub Liquor License be <br />approved. The motion was seconded by Carlson. Roll call vote was <br />unanimous for approval. <br />8. Police Department Report <br />Interim Louisville Police Chief Jeff Fisher had no report but did want to <br />reaffirm their commitment to working with the Authority. A new officer will <br />be transitioned into the role with the Authority. <br />The Authority asked about the reports for disturbances and how low they <br />remained after the height of the pandemic. Chief Fisher noted that they <br />haven't seen an uptick in disturbances. <br />Kaufman asked if the PD would be restarting TIPS training. Chief Fisher <br />said that is valuable and something he would like to start up again. <br />There have been no issues related to an establishment lately. <br />9. Secretary's Report <br />A. Tasting Rules Passed by Council / Timeline <br />The Secretary updated the Authority on the action City Council <br />took during their April 4 meeting regarding Tasting rules. That <br />ordinance will go into effect May 9. To date no licensees have <br />applied for a Tasting permit. <br />B. Discussion Items on Email from City Manager Durbin dated April <br />18. <br />The Authority had several comments regarding term limits and the <br />application process. The Secretary stated she would summarize <br />the comments expressed by the Authority and forward them to the <br />City Clerk. <br />10. Authority Attorney's Report <br />None <br />11. Authority Comments <br />None <br />12. Discussion Items for Next Meeting — May 22, 2023 at 6:30 pm <br />A. Anticipated Agenda <br />13. Adjournment <br />Seeing no other business, Carlson moved to adjourn the meeting and <br />Lipton seconded. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM. <br />
