Local Licensing Authority Meeting Minutes April 24, 2023 Page 4 of 4 After a brief discussion, Kaufman noted that the applicants were of good moral character, there is a desire for the license to be granted and that all City and State law requirements have been met. Based on those findings, Kaufman moved that the Brew Pub Liquor License be approved. The motion was seconded by Carlson. Roll call vote was unanimous for approval. 8. Police Department Report Interim Louisville Police Chief Jeff Fisher had no report but did want to reaffirm their commitment to working with the Authority. A new officer will be transitioned into the role with the Authority. The Authority asked about the reports for disturbances and how low they remained after the height of the pandemic. Chief Fisher noted that they haven't seen an uptick in disturbances. Kaufman asked if the PD would be restarting TIPS training. Chief Fisher said that is valuable and something he would like to start up again. There have been no issues related to an establishment lately. 9. Secretary's Report A. Tasting Rules Passed by Council / Timeline The Secretary updated the Authority on the action City Council took during their April 4 meeting regarding Tasting rules. That ordinance will go into effect May 9. To date no licensees have applied for a Tasting permit. B. Discussion Items on Email from City Manager Durbin dated April 18. The Authority had several comments regarding term limits and the application process. The Secretary stated she would summarize the comments expressed by the Authority and forward them to the City Clerk. 10. Authority Attorney's Report None 11. Authority Comments None 12.
