FIRE DEPARTMENT LIQUOR LICENSE REQUEST SOUTHLAND CORPORATION LIQUOR LICENSE REQUEST AUDIENCE COMMENTS CITY ATTORENY REPORT PIERCE SUIT CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT METHODIST CHURCH REQUEST VEHICLE BIDS November 3, 1977 Minutes - page 2 Councilman DiCarlo moved that a public hearing be set for November 15, 1977, on the liquor license request for the fire department. Seconded by Councilman Dhieux. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo moved that a public hearing be set for November 15, 1977, on a liquor license application for Southland Corporation dba 7 - 11 store. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. There were no comments from the audience. Attorney Joss noted that a pre trial con- ference was scheduled; however, a stipu- lation was reached and cancelled the pre trail conference. He stated that it was his understanding that the suit is going to be dropped. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the Ci.~y Attorney report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that he has received a letter from the Methodist church requesting that they be allowed to install signs stating the location of the church. A memo from Planner Drumm noted that the signs are allowed on private property; how- ever, the proposed locations are on public property. After comments Councilman DiCarlo moved that the request be denied. Seconded by Council- man Dhieux. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated that the vehicles in question have been budgeted for in the 1978 budget. The staff requests that the Council authorize them to call for bids. It was noted that this does not mean that the cars will be purchased, just quotes will be received. The cars in question are the City Adminis- trators car, two pick-ups and a dump truck. Mr. Wurl stated that his vehicle will be given to the City Engineer and the chiefs call will be put in service.
