May 17, 1977 Minutes - page 2 FIRE DISTRICT CONTINUED Mr. Wurl noted that there is still a pay- ment being made on the Fire Hall and also the rescue truck. Mr. Poydock stated that the bills would be taken over by the district at the time they are legalized. Mr. Poydock stated that the old rural truck is getting worse and might need a new engine and transmission. He stated that they are still checking on the cost of the repairs. Councilman Caranci asked who would be re- sponsible for the payment on the hall and equipment. Mr. Wurl stated that if sales were made to the fire department they would be respon- sible to continue to make the payments. There was no more discussion. DI GRAPPA REQUEST WELL DRILLING Mr. DiGrappa stated that they would like to drill three exploratory wells on the west side of Louisville which is in the comprehensive plan and is within the County. He stated that the County advised him that rather they change the zoning on the land the City annex the areas requested and the drill tests then be made. Mr. DiGrappa stated if City Council is agreeable, that the City recommend to the County that the City has no obj-ction for the test drilling within the comprehensive plan. The County then would take the appropriate action. Councilman Caranci asked how close building could be done by the well. DiGrappa stated that he thought it was about 100'. Councilman McDonald asked how many acres would be considered for annexation. Mr. DiGrappa stated that if it went to annexation there would be 2 acres around each well. Councilman McDonald stated that she objected to allowing experimental wells within the City Comprehensive plan and also she was against spot zoning which would be necessary.
