Minutes - page 2 November 16, 1976 R.T.D. Mr. Gordon Aoyagi representing RTD in- formed Council that the para-transit contract has been signed and the services should begin shortly and the off peak service to begin December 1, 1976. He stated that they will be in contact with Mr. Wurl on the different organi- zations in the City that might need the service. He also stated that Mr. Kevin Adams was not able to attend the meeting. Mr. Bud Carosso was in attendance repre- senting Mr. Adams. A brief summary of the county study was given to Council. Mr. Aoyagi stated that much of the in- formation obtained is to assist RTD in the marketing effort, to identify the user and nonuser. Also, to obtain in- formation of the trips that occur in this area. Mr. Bud Carosso, RTD representative, stated that RTD has scheduled a bus to run through Louisville going to Denver at 6:30 a.m. and arriving in Denver at 7:35 a.m. It was noted that the bus needs to leave earlier and also that there were some students going to metro that may be able to utilize the service. Mr. Carosso stated that he would check in getting the bus here around 6:00 a.m. The stops will be flag stops along Main. As of now there will be no plans for a shelter as the alotted 100 have already been designated and it would be close to the end of 1977 before Louisville would have a shelter; however, if one of the designated spots is not taken, Louisville will have high consideration. Councilman DelPizzo requested that RTD consider the return trips to travel through Louisville from Denver also. Mr. Carosso stated that he would check. Mr. Jensen stated that RTD should also consider persons who would like to travel to Boulder also. LIBRARY BOARD Mrs. Eileen Hogg, Library Board Chairman, requested that they would like to be considered in the remodeling plans, should the City receive their gran. -2-
