<br />Minutes - page 2 <br />Nov. 4, 1976 <br /> <br />RTD CONT'D <br /> <br />He also stated that there can be charter <br />service, should the need arise. <br />Councilman Domenico noted his diapproval <br />of the RTD plan and that he was totally <br />against RTD. <br />He also asked why Mr. O'Dell was doing <br />all the work. <br />Mr. Leahy stated that RTD did put the ex- <br />pense for the bus and the reason Mr. <br />O'Dell is putting the route together is <br />because he will be the one running it. <br />Councilman DiLorenzo stated that she would <br />like to see some service in the after <br />hours, during late evening. <br />Councilman MCDonald stated that the <br />City received an RTD budget statement and <br />she did not see where there would be any <br />service change in the budget for Louisville. <br />Mr. Leahy stated that there was a budget <br />for paratransit vehicles. <br />Councilman McDonald stated that she did <br />not like it and did not feel that it would <br />work and that Louisville should not be <br />used as a test run. <br />Mr. Leahy stated that Louisville will <br />not be used for testing and that the <br />project will be moving into Netherland <br />and up into Lyons. <br />Another representative for RTD stated that <br />a study was made in the Louisville area, <br />Boulder County and tabulations were pro- <br />cessed for the needs of the City. <br />He stated that there still needs to be a <br />study made with the City and that he would <br />speak with Mr. Wurl. <br />He also stated that the study shows that <br />paratransit facilities should be ade- <br />quate at this time and they hope to <br />build up to a regular running of the RTD <br />buses. <br />Mr. Conarroe asked what type of plans <br />there were for a shelter of some sort for <br />persons waiting for the buses. He also <br />stated that he was not happy with RTD <br />service and felt that if it does not im- <br />prove, it should be closed all together. <br />RTD representatives stated that they are <br />awaiting word on a grant for depots. <br />After discussion it was noted that RTD <br />will be getting with Mr. Wurl to discuss <br />their services. <br /> <br />2. <br />
