REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL JULY 6, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following Council members present: DiLorenzo, DiCarlo, McDonald, and DelPizzo. Other present: City Administrator Wurl, City Engineer White, City Planner Drumm, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk Santilli. Councilman Caranci arrived at 9:15 P.M.. Absent: Coun- cilman Domenico. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes as read. COUNCIL ITEMS DRCOG PRESENTATION Mr. Bob Farley and Mr. Al Salazar thanked the City for their time to listen to the overview of DRCOG's program. Mr. Salazar gave a presentation of the different programs conducted by DRCOG. Councilman McDonald asked about the resource center. What type of in- formation was in it and if there was any cost to municipalities. Mr. Salazar stated that the information included is on the different programs that DRCOG is involved with. He also stated that there would be no cost unless there was a fee to acquire the information requested by the City; the fee would then be passed on to the municipality. Mr. Conarroe asked if DRCOG was trying to get a better communication between the planners and the people who dispense the money. He specified the RTD pro- gram and PRT system. Mr. Farley responded to Mr. Conarroe's question in the affirmative. Steve Anderson asked Mr. Farley if they have some sort of procedure to gear down to the rural area problems as opposed to the large city problems. Mr. Farley stated that he felt that COG did work hard to recognize the differences between the large and small communities. Councilman DelPizzo asked if DRCOG has been discussing the situation of regional transportation system of getting back to the old interurban street car which worked quite well at a small cost many years back.
