<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 6, 1976 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with <br />the following Council members present: DiLorenzo, DiCarlo, McDonald, <br />and DelPizzo. Other present: City Administrator Wurl, City Engineer <br />White, City Planner Drumm, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk <br />Santilli. Councilman Caranci arrived at 9:15 P.M.. Absent: Coun- <br />cilman Domenico. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak and Council approved <br />the minutes as read. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />DRCOG PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mr. Bob Farley and Mr. Al Salazar <br />thanked the City for their time to <br />listen to the overview of DRCOG's program. <br />Mr. Salazar gave a presentation of <br />the different programs conducted by <br />DRCOG. <br />Councilman McDonald asked about the <br />resource center. What type of in- <br />formation was in it and if there was <br />any cost to municipalities. Mr. <br />Salazar stated that the information <br />included is on the different programs <br />that DRCOG is involved with. He also <br />stated that there would be no cost unless <br />there was a fee to acquire the information <br />requested by the City; the fee would <br />then be passed on to the municipality. <br />Mr. Conarroe asked if DRCOG was trying <br />to get a better communication between <br />the planners and the people who dispense <br />the money. He specified the RTD pro- <br />gram and PRT system. <br />Mr. Farley responded to Mr. Conarroe's <br />question in the affirmative. <br />Steve Anderson asked Mr. Farley if they <br />have some sort of procedure to gear down <br />to the rural area problems as opposed <br />to the large city problems. Mr. Farley <br />stated that he felt that COG did work <br />hard to recognize the differences <br />between the large and small communities. <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked if DRCOG <br />has been discussing the situation of <br />regional transportation system of <br />getting back to the old interurban street <br />car which worked quite well at a small <br />cost many years back. <br />
