REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL MAY 4, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the meeti.ng to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- ing Council members present: Domenico, Caranci, DiLorenzo, Di Carlo, DelPizzo and McDonald. Others present; City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk Santilli. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of April 20, 1976 Council meet- as presented. COUNCIL ITEMS: MAYOR PROCLAMATION - BELL DAY Mr. Wurl related that at the request of the Centennial Bi-centennial Commission Mayor Waschak was asked to declare July 4, 1976 as "Bell Day." He then read the proclamation concurring with the request. MAYOR PROCLMATION POppy DAY PAY ESTIHATE :fft2 VARRA ENTERPRISES PARKING LOT By request of the American Legion, Mr. Wurl read the Mayor's Proclamation - Poppy Days - May 21, & 22, 1976. Mrs. Clare Harney, Chairman, was in attend- ance and presented Mayor and Mrs. Was- chak with complimentary poppies. City Engineer White recommended payment of Pay Estimate #2 - Varra Enterprises Parking Lot, in the amount of $8,503.50 less 10% retainage $850.35 - amount due $7,633.15. Councilman Mc Donald asked if this amount represented 55% of the total cost of the project. Administrator Wurl advised that it was. Councilman Caranci moved that pay estimate #2 in the amount of $8,503.50 be paid for the parking lot construction, less retain- age of $850.35 - total amount of payment $7,633.15. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Mayor Waschak called for remarks and Coun- cilman Domenico commented the though the lot appeared to be more of a park than a parking lot. Administrator Wurl reminded Councilman Domenico the plans had been submitted to Council on two separate oc- casions for review. Roll call vote - Domenico no, Caranci yes, Del Pizzo yes, DiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes. Motion carried.
