<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAY 4, 1976 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the meeti.ng to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- <br />ing Council members present: Domenico, Caranci, DiLorenzo, Di Carlo, <br />DelPizzo and McDonald. Others present; City Administrator Wurl, City <br />Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Treasurer Hesson and City <br />Clerk Santilli. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak and Council approved the <br />minutes of April 20, 1976 Council meet- <br />as presented. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />MAYOR PROCLAMATION - BELL DAY <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl related that at the request of <br />the Centennial Bi-centennial Commission <br />Mayor Waschak was asked to declare July <br />4, 1976 as "Bell Day." He then read the <br />proclamation concurring with the request. <br /> <br />MAYOR PROCLMATION <br />POppy DAY <br /> <br />PAY ESTIHATE :fft2 <br />VARRA ENTERPRISES <br />PARKING LOT <br /> <br />By request of the American Legion, Mr. <br />Wurl read the Mayor's Proclamation - <br />Poppy Days - May 21, & 22, 1976. Mrs. <br />Clare Harney, Chairman, was in attend- <br />ance and presented Mayor and Mrs. Was- <br />chak with complimentary poppies. <br /> <br />City Engineer White recommended payment <br />of Pay Estimate #2 - Varra Enterprises <br />Parking Lot, in the amount of $8,503.50 <br />less 10% retainage $850.35 - amount due <br />$7,633.15. Councilman Mc Donald asked <br />if this amount represented 55% of the <br />total cost of the project. Administrator <br />Wurl advised that it was. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that pay estimate <br />#2 in the amount of $8,503.50 be paid for <br />the parking lot construction, less retain- <br />age of $850.35 - total amount of payment <br />$7,633.15. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Mayor Waschak called for remarks and Coun- <br />cilman Domenico commented the though the <br />lot appeared to be more of a park than a <br />parking lot. Administrator Wurl reminded <br />Councilman Domenico the plans had been <br />submitted to Council on two separate oc- <br />casions for review. Roll call vote - <br />Domenico no, Caranci yes, Del Pizzo yes, <br />DiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />
