PUBLIC HEARING COLORADO TECH. CENTER - DESIGNATION OF STATE INTEREST E. & F. INDUSTRIES REPORT Mayor Waschak stated before he opened the public hearing that it would be orderly. He then asked Administrator Wurl to make the opening remarks. Mr. Wurl stated the Public Hearing had been properly advertised and related to the designation of matters of state interest on the proposed Colo. Tech. Center; in addition some matters were to be heard by the Colorado State Land Use Commission. Since the people from the Land Use Com- mission were not present, this item was delayed until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Wurl informed Council that the matter was placed on the agenda to give Mr. Alex Domenico an opportunity to respond to a letter and information that had been sent to him relative to an order issued by Council regarding E. & F. Industries. Mr. Domenico stated he was not accepting the E. & F. Industries report - he was not satisfied with it. "Blasts are small and tailor-made." Councilman McDonald asked Mr. Domenico if the City hired a private agency would he be satisfied with their report. Mr. Domen- ico stated that he would not, and "it would not be closed for awhile." Councilman Caranci asked E. & F. Industries representatives if the cassettes that the City had were of the maximum blasts from their firm. Mr. Mott, representing E. & F. Industries, reported the cassettes reflected the actual recording of blasts conducted during the period of time in question, which is representative of actual production being done at the present time. He also stated maximum variance could be no;more than ~ lb. Councilman Caranci then asked Mr. Mott to confirm that the maximum had not been exceeded. Mr. Mott concurred. Mr. Mott was asked by Council what the maximum amount use was. His re- ply was 3 lbs. Mr. Domenico was asked by Council a second time if additional money was spent for an outside opinion would he be satisfied with the report. - 2 -
