REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 20, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- ing Council members present: Domenico, Caranci, DiLorenzo, DiCarlo, DelPizzo and McDonald. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk Santilli. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of the April 6, 1976, Council meeting as presented. COUNCIL ITEMS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT APPOINTMENTS City Attorney Morris reported on the Board member requirements. He stated that in the state statutes under Planning Commission it requires that members must be residents of the City and since they act as Board of Zoning, he felt that although the statute does not require residency and that in the past all members have been residents of the City, he felt that it would be proper to appoint only residents of the City to serve on City Boards as they are dealing directly with Louisville residents and City funds. Mayor Waschak stated that there was a member on the LURA Board who moved from the City, but is still active on the Board. He asked Attorney Morris if this would also effect this party's membership. Attorney Morris stated that he felt although there were no direct require- ments in the statutes, he felt the members should be residents also. Councilman Caranci then moved that a letter be sent to the LURA Board ex- plaining the procedure for members and request the immediate resignation of Mr. DelForge since he is no longer a resident of Louisville. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Councilman DiCarlo then moved to amend the motion to read that a letter be sent out to all Boards explaining the issue and requiring all members serving on the Boards to be residents of the City.
