<br />FALL PROJECTS
<br />The Parks and Recreation Department has a busy Au-
<br />tumn planned. Here are some of the projects you will
<br />see around town:
<br />The Recreation Center recently completed its annual
<br />maintenance week which included the replacement of
<br />the Pool Pak, roof top HVAC units, skylights and a
<br />much needed new roof. This work will carry over into
<br />September and October causing some short -term incon-
<br />veniences that will lead to long -term facility improve-
<br />ments. We thank Recreation and Senior Center patrons
<br />and citizens for your patience and support.
<br />The 2009 Louisville Cemetery Expansion will include
<br />the addition of 1,120 standard burial plots, 224 crema-
<br />tion plots, and 78 infant burial plots to the northwest
<br />corner of the cemetery. Additional work associated with
<br />the project includes new fencing and gates, roadways,
<br />landscaping, and irrigation. Construction is scheduled
<br />for completeion by October.
<br />Playground Replacements at Annette Brand Park
<br />and Pirates Park These playgrounds are scheduled for
<br />replacement this coming winter.
<br />Memory Square Park will be seeing upgrades to the
<br />landscape near the shelter, bocce courts, horseshoe pits,
<br />and the Louisville Center for the Arts. Construction will
<br />begin this fall.

<br />T he Parks and Recreation Department will host a
<br />Mulch Give Away Day on Saturday, September
<br />26 from 8 :00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the City's Branch Re-
<br />cycle Site located just north of the Louisville Cemetery
<br />at Highway 42 and 104th

<br />name for this property. Submittals will be accepted at the
<br />following buildings: City Hall, Recreation Center, Parks
<br />Recreation or by emailing your suggestion to OpenS-
<br />pace@LouisvilleCo.gov please write "Name Submittal"
