REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL FEBRUARY 17, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the meE~ting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the fol- lowing Council members present: Domenico, DiLorenzo, Caranci, DiCarlo, McDonald and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Engineer White, City Clerk Santilli. Absent: City Attorney Morris and City Treasurer Hesson. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes as presented. COUNCIL ITEMS POLICE VEHICLE BIDS Council received a tabulation of vehicle bids along with a recommendation from the Police Chief that the 1975 Valiant be first choice and second choice being a 1976 Fury. It was stated that the vehicle was budgeted for. Chief Munger stated that the new vehicle would be for his use and the car he now has would be put into service. He stated however, that he felt if a new service vehicle was pur- chased and he kept his old car, the City would be better off. It was stated that the police department has two vehicles and one van; the add- ition would make four vehicles. Councilman DiCarlo stated that since the car would not be used in service he thought a smaller type car could be purchased. After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved that the request for an additional vehicle be denied. Motion died for lack of se- cond. Councilman McDonald then moved that Council authorize the leasing of the 1976 Fury for the Police Department as shown under item #7 in the bid tabulation. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Coun- cilman Domenico then moved to amend the motion stating that the car to be pur- chased will be put into service and the Chiefs vehicle at present will remain with the Chief. Seconded by Councilman McDonald. Roll call on amendment. Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo no, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald yes. Motion carried. Roll call on motion as amended. Domenico yes, Caranci yes, DiCarlo no, DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes. Motion carried.
