<br />ADJOURNED MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JANUARY 27, 1976 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the TIleeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following <br />Council members present: Domenico, DiLorenzo, Caranci, DiCarlo, <br />McDonald, and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, <br />City Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Planner Drumm and <br />City Clerk Santilli. AbsE~nt: City Treasurer Hesson. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br />INDUSTRIAL LAND <br /> <br />I.R.A. VS SOCIAL SECURITY <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would like to have <br />authorization from Council to carry out <br />procedures to sell a triangular piece of <br />property in the industrial park. <br />He stated to Council that Boulder Scientific, <br />Nuclei, and Golden Concrete have spoke <br />with him in regards to purchasing the land. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would like to see <br />new industry come into the City such as <br />Boulder Scientific to supply a better tax <br />base and new jobs. He asked Council <br />what they would like to do; to advertise <br />the sale or try to negotiate with the <br />three interested parties. <br />Attorney Morris stated that it would not <br />be necessary to advertis as the land was <br />not designated park area. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the appraised value <br />of the property was $4,500 for approx- <br />imately ~ acre. After discussion Coun- <br />cilman Caranci moved that Council authorize <br />the City Administrator to negotiate with <br />the interested parties and bring back the <br />best buy which would benefit the City. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated to Council that he would <br />like authorization to look into the poss- <br />ibility of withdrawing from Social Se- <br />curity and begin a different type of <br />pension plan. He also stated that he <br />felt the employees would benefit by a <br />different plan. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would <br />like to have the employees make the de- <br />cision. After discussion Councilman <br />DiCarlo moved that the City Administrator <br />be authorized to check into an I.R.A. plan <br />opposed to Social Security. Seconded by <br />Councilman Caranci. Motion carried. <br />
