ADJOURNED MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 27, 1976 Mayor Waschak called the TIleeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following Council members present: Domenico, DiLorenzo, Caranci, DiCarlo, McDonald, and DelPizzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Planner Drumm and City Clerk Santilli. AbsE~nt: City Treasurer Hesson. CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT INDUSTRIAL LAND I.R.A. VS SOCIAL SECURITY Mr. Wurl stated that he would like to have authorization from Council to carry out procedures to sell a triangular piece of property in the industrial park. He stated to Council that Boulder Scientific, Nuclei, and Golden Concrete have spoke with him in regards to purchasing the land. Mr. Wurl stated that he would like to see new industry come into the City such as Boulder Scientific to supply a better tax base and new jobs. He asked Council what they would like to do; to advertise the sale or try to negotiate with the three interested parties. Attorney Morris stated that it would not be necessary to advertis as the land was not designated park area. Mr. Wurl stated that the appraised value of the property was $4,500 for approx- imately ~ acre. After discussion Coun- cilman Caranci moved that Council authorize the City Administrator to negotiate with the interested parties and bring back the best buy which would benefit the City. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated to Council that he would like authorization to look into the poss- ibility of withdrawing from Social Se- curity and begin a different type of pension plan. He also stated that he felt the employees would benefit by a different plan. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would like to have the employees make the de- cision. After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Administrator be authorized to check into an I.R.A. plan opposed to Social Security. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Motion carried.
