COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE
REPORTS cont'd
MEAD STREET

HAROLD JONES RESIDENCE

DRCOG LETTER

DRCOG - MIZEL PROPOSED ANNEXATION

MR. GREEN - FORREST SERVICE

Councilman Domenico asked that Engineer White
check into an alley way off Mead St. which he
felt should be vacated.

Councilman Domenico stated that there is a
problem with the drainage at that area. Mr.
Wurl stated that the problem has been checked
several times and stated that the only solution
to the problem is to install a storm sewer.
Mr. Wurl stated that the street could be re-
constructed which would call for the relining
of curbs and gutters, but doing this would still
not completely corredt the project.

Councilman DiCarlo stated that he received a
letter from DRCOG stating that they need to
have appointments to their advisory committees
no later then July 11, 1975. After discussion
Councilman DiCarlo moved that the following
appointment recommendations be sent to DRCOG:

CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE - RICHARD HERSHEY

CHIEF ADMIN. OF OFFICERS COMM. - LEON WURL

PARKS & REC. ADVISORY COMM. - KEITH HELART

REGIONAL PLANNING ADVISORY COMM. - DENNIS DRUMM

WATER RESOURCES ADVISORY COMM. - DAN WHITE

HOUSING ADVISORY COMM. - STEVE ANDERSON

Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion carried.

Councilman DiCarlo read the letter from DRCOG
in regards to the proposed Mizel Annexation.
The letter requested the presence of Louisville
for the presentation at the July 16, 1975,
meeting. Mr. Wurl stated that Mr. Drumm would
be out of town and he would like to have him
present for the presentation so he would like
to have DRCOG detain the presentation until
the next meeting. It was suggested that Mr.
Bob Farley be contacted and asked for a delay
on the presentation.

Councilman DelPizzo stated that Mr. Green had
contacted him, and he will be present at the
next Council meeting to discuss the Dutch Elm
Disease. He stated to Mr. DelPizzo that he
would like the City to pass a resolution
so that in the future they could come and inspect
the trees and the City be able to take action
on having the infected trees removed. Mr.
Wurl stated that it could create many problems
with older people on a fixed income. He also
stated that he informed Mr. Green to write a
letter stating just how extensive the problem
was in Louisville. Councilman Domenico stated

-4-
