<br />FERRERA LAND PROBLEM cont'd <br /> <br />L.C.D.C. & L.H.A. <br />PROJECT APPROVAL <br /> <br />OBLINGER/SMITH <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />After Councils discussion, Councilman <br />Berry moved that the request for the <br />vacation of the City owned 10. right- <br />of-way on the south end of the block <br />be denied. Seconded by Councilwoman <br />Scholl. Roll call on motion. Domenico <br />no, DelPizzo no, Scholl yes, Berry yes, <br />Dhieux no, DiCarlo abstained. Motion <br />defeated. It was suggested that the <br />matter be tabled and reviewed further. <br />It was stated that Mr. Ferrera would <br />like to have an answer tonight as to <br />get the matter settled or take a different <br />procedure. After Councils discussion <br />on the matter. Councilwoman Dhieux moved <br />that the City not vacate the 10. right- <br />of-way as per the City Engineers suggestion. <br />Seconded by Councilman Berry. Roll call. <br />Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl yes, <br />Dhieux yes, DelPizzo abstained, DiCarlo <br />abstained. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mrs. Barbara McDonald stated that F.H.A. <br />needed a letter from the City supporting <br />the Elderly Housing Project. A ques- <br />tion was brought up as to whether a <br />letter should be sent since there was no <br />settlement on the Ferrera Land Problem. <br />After further discussion Councilman <br />DelPizzo moved to send the letter to <br />F.H.A. supporting the project. Seconded <br />by Councilwoman Scholl. Roll call on <br />motion. Domenico yes, Berry no, Scholl <br />yes, Dhieux no, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo <br />no. Tie vote. Mayor Waschak voted yes <br />to carry the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Gus s Byrom r e pre s e n tin gOb 1 i n g e r / <br />Smith gave a brief review as to what <br />they will be doing in regards to the <br />Community Development project for <br />Urban Renewal. A schedule was also <br />passed out by Mr. Byrom on the activities <br />and meetings for the project. It was <br />Urban Renewals request that C.A.C. conduct <br />the two scheduled public hearings. <br />After the presentation, Councilwoman <br />Dhieux moved that Council approve the <br />application for Community Development and <br />also the schedule of activities. Seconded <br />by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
