REGULAR MEETING

COUNCIL COMMENTS CONT'D

POLICE COMMISSION MEETING

DAVE CHENOWETH - LURA

RESOLUTION #10 SERIES 1974
APPROVING NDP AND FILING
APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE

LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL

MAY 21, 1974

It was his opinion that Louisville does have
a good sound government - as was shown by
the vote on annexation with not all council
members agreeing. Personally he was not in
favor of the referendum vote, but if this
was the wish of the citizens he had no control.

Chairman Domenico stated there would be a
Police Commission meeting Wednesday evening
May 29th, 1974 at 7:30 p.m.

Referred to letter presented to Council re-
questing consideration to waive Contractor's
License Fee for LURA.
Councilman DiCarlo asked Mr. Chenoweth on
what date Mr. Davis resigned - reply-May 15th,
1974.
Mr. Chenoweth explained to Council various
guidelines had to be followed when Federal
money was involved and the Contractors's
Fee was not an expendable item.
Councilman Berry questioned the need of the
Contractor's License - Chenoweth replied
to cover the non-profit organization dOing
the work such as the Army, etc. - Volunteer
labor. Councilman Berry wanted to make
certain that waiving the license would not
promote haphazard construction. Dave assured
him this would not be the case as the waivered
license would not include plumbing, heating,
or electrical. Request was for a Contractor's
B License.
Councilwoman Scholl moved that a Contractors
License, Class B be issued to LURA and the
fee be waived. Seconded by Councilman Berry.
Roll call vote - Domenico yes, Berry yes,
Scholl yes, Dhieux yes, Del Pizzo yes. Di
Carlo yes. Motion carried.

Administrator Wurl explained this item did
not appear on the agenda as we receveived it
late. He then made reference to letter from
HUD that $125,000 had been earmarked for
NDP through December 31, 1974. and Resolution
#10, Series 1974 entitled Resolution of the
Council of the City of Louisville Approving
Neighborhood Development Program, Extension
Thereof to January 1, 1975, And Filing Of An
Application For Financial Assistance.

- 4 -
