COUNCIL Cmft'.1ENTS
(CONTINUED)

POLICE COHMISSION

ITEMS FROM PEOPLE IN
ALTENDANCE NOT APPEAR-
ING ON THE AGENDA

CITY ADMINISTRATORS
REPORT
Building Inspector

Authorize Lease
Sewer Rodder

LIQUOR LICENSES

City Administrator Wurl reported that he has
~lO obj ection to consulting with Council especially
ln the case of department heads, and in this re-
gard I think it is important that department
heads meet with Council's approval. I disagree
vvhen you get much lower than that but once again
I have no objections to telling you who has been
hired or fired - but I do think this should be
done privatelv rather than rmblicl y.
Councilman Je~sen then stat~d he f~lt that if
an employee had a specific greivance, then this
should be presented at a Council work session.
If not, the matter should be forgotten.

Councilman Domenico stated there would be a
Police Commission meeting November 28, 1973
at 7:00 p.m. and invited the Mayor and council-
men elect to attend.

None

:t1r.. Wurl reported that Building Inspector, Mel
Stephen had submitted a comparison of costs
of building inspection with income generated
by the building department as requested by Council-
man Deborski, which was included in the packet.
The report depicted from the month of April through
October of 1973 a plus balance of $4,012.09

Councilman King moved that the Mayor be authorized
to sign the lease for payment of the sewer rodder
in the amount of $4,923.30. Seconded by Council-
man Donovan. All in favor. Motion carried.

Attorney Morris reported that he had reviewed
the liquor licenses as presented and found them
to be in order except for minor notary things
which were immaterial. Attorney Morris also
reported that all liquor licenses must be in
to the State, by law, by December 1, 1973. If
not, they will be treated a a new licensee.
In the interim several disturbance reports had
been submitted by the Police Dept. regarding
businesses applying for liquor licenses and sub-
mitted to council under seperate cover. After
discussion and coun~~l from Attorney Morris,
Councilman Donovan requested that the establish-
ment with the largest number of infractions be
called in on November 19, 1973 at 7:00 p.m. and
meet with council members regarding the renewal
of his license.

- Page 5 -
