<br />lEGULAR ~1EETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 27, 1973 <br /> <br />FINAL ESTU1ATE <br />AJAX CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE GRANT APPLI- <br />CATION PARKS & REC. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS: <br /> <br />1A7ATER Tv1ETER <br />ORDINANCE <br /> <br />LIGHTS AT HEMORY PARK <br /> <br />and the Council members and Mayor and Council <br />members elect could meet the ne't-J Officers at <br />that time. <br />Question called for on motion. All in favor. <br />Notion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Donovan moved that final payment <br />in the amount of $2,427.65 be made to Ajax <br />Construction Co. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. <br />Roll call vote - Deborski yes, King yes, Jensen <br />yes, Donovan yes, Scholl yes, Domenico yes. <br />}'[otion carried. <br /> <br />City Administrator advised Council their approval <br />was needed to apply for Parks and Recreation grants <br />from the Bureau of Reclamation. $30,000.00 for <br />half the cost and improvements in Cottonwood Park, <br />and $10,000.00 for tennis courts. We have budgeted <br />for the City's half for 1974. <br />Councilman Jensen moved that authorization be <br />given for grant application - $30,000.00 for <br />Cottonwood Park and $10,000.00 for tennis courts. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci requested that the Mayor and <br />Council elect please be present at the Police <br />Commission meeting as he had something important <br />to present to them. <br /> <br />Councilman Deborski inquired of Attorney Morris <br />if the Council passes a motion, who has a right <br />to kill that motion? He then stated Council acted <br />on a motion to draw up an Ordinance on water meters <br />and he understood that it had been killed by some <br />individuals. City Attorney advised that the Ord- <br />inance had not been killed and no one advised him <br />to do so. The Ordinance in question would be <br />ready for next meeting. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Scholl commented she thought the <br />lights at Memory Park should be turned off in <br />in the evening. City Engineer White stated <br />a timing device had been installed and they <br />should turn off at any earlier time. Mayor <br />Caranci stated he felt two should be left on <br />at the corners to light the walkway on that side <br />of the street. This program will be followed. <br /> <br />Page - 2 - <br />
