<br />ltegular Meeting <br /> <br />DRCOG MEETING <br /> <br />PARKING LOT <br />SPRUCE APARTMENTS <br /> <br />RASH <br /> <br />ITEMS FROM PEOPLE <br />IN ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />CEMETERY <br /> <br />Louisville City Council <br /> <br />February 20, 1973 <br /> <br />Councilman DODlenico reported there would be a Police Commission <br />Meeting Febru8iry 28th at 7:30 p.m.; also he had contacted a girl <br />to take minuteis at Police Commission meetings. <br /> <br />Counci1man/Yftii~i~ed that we set up a public relations program. <br />Also, the City should grade alleys and have property owners <br />supply red ash and gravel. <br />Councilman Killg sugges ted he would like to see if we can abandon <br />some alleys thrO\lghout the City. <br /> <br />DRCOG meeting to be held March 21st. It was agreed we should send <br />our representntives. Councilman Donovan moved to send Councilmen <br />Jensen and Deborski to the meeting and pay expenses thereof. <br />Seconded by Cc)unci1man Domenico. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Killlg remarked the parking lot at Spruce Street apart= <br />ments off street parking had never been improved. When the fence <br />was built at 11iners Field there was a vacant area of three feet <br />which was left between the fence and adjacent property lines. <br />No one is mai~ntaining this ground; tear the fence down and let <br />property owners maintain it. This was was an agreement, but <br />the property lowners were not notified. Mr. Wur1 is to notify <br />these property owners. <br />Councilman King also suggested he would like to see the City go <br />to a franchise operation on trash and collect the monies, making it <br />mandatory - obtain competitive franchise bidding. <br />Councilman Jensen expressed his opposition to the City getting into <br />trash pick-up operation. Suggested we inquire as to the cost of <br />computerizing trash, water and sanitation each month. <br /> <br />Toney Udovich complained of the sewer blockage. <br /> <br />Councilman Ki.ng suggested the new area of the Cemetery there <br />should be no t:rees, shrubs, planted perennials and the stones <br />should be flush. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S A. <br />REPORT B. <br /> <br />Fire Truck -.
