<br /> <br />Louisville Cultural Council <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Aug ust 19th , 2009 <br />Louisville Recreation Center <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />I. Call to Order - Don Atwood made a motion to call the meeting to order at <br />7:05 pm. Jim Pollicita 2nd. All present were in favor. <br /> <br />II. Assign Recording Secretary - Rebecca Lasica was assigned. <br /> <br />III. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Don Atwood, Julie Kovash, Maryan Jaross, <br />Rebecca Lasica, Lynn Wooton, Jim Pollicita, Carol Cheh, Andy Langford, <br />Farren Wyner <br /> <br />Board Members Absent: Susan McNamara <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: Julie Seydel and Kathy Martin <br /> <br />Members of the Public Present: Cathy Rausch from Coal Creek <br />Community Theater, John Farmer from Boulder County Arts Alliance. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved by all members. <br /> <br />V. Approval of Meeting Minutes - A motion to approve the April minutes <br />will be made at the September meeting due to lack of notes available to board <br />members at the August meeting. <br /> <br />VI. Public Comments - Cathy Rausch from Coal Creek Community Theater <br />was present to listen. <br /> <br />John Farmer is the new executive director of the BCM. He was present to <br />introduce himself to the board. He expressed interest in extending BCM <br />services to LCC, and the possibility of collaborating in future events. BCM is <br />interested in being inclusive in terms of all arts organizations in Boulder County. <br />BCM has grant money available to help get artists started. Don Atwood <br />suggested one possible area of collaboration might be the East County Art <br />Center project. BCM could help to reinvent the idea and get on board to <br />advocate together toward future development of this project. Julie Kovash <br />discussed that a new feasibility study might be in order due to more recent <br />growth of the area since the last study. Maybe an update would be prudent. Lynn <br />
