Louisville Cultural Council Meeting Minutes Aug ust 19th , 2009 Louisville Recreation Center 7:00 PM I. Call to Order - Don Atwood made a motion to call the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Jim Pollicita 2nd. All present were in favor. II. Assign Recording Secretary - Rebecca Lasica was assigned. III. Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Board Members Present: Don Atwood, Julie Kovash, Maryan Jaross, Rebecca Lasica, Lynn Wooton, Jim Pollicita, Carol Cheh, Andy Langford, Farren Wyner Board Members Absent: Susan McNamara Staff Members Present: Julie Seydel and Kathy Martin Members of the Public Present: Cathy Rausch from Coal Creek Community Theater, John Farmer from Boulder County Arts Alliance. IV. Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved by all members. V. Approval of Meeting Minutes - A motion to approve the April minutes will be made at the September meeting due to lack of notes available to board members at the August meeting. VI. Public Comments - Cathy Rausch from Coal Creek Community Theater was present to listen. John Farmer is the new executive director of the BCM. He was present to introduce himself to the board. He expressed interest in extending BCM services to LCC, and the possibility of collaborating in future events. BCM is interested in being inclusive in terms of all arts organizations in Boulder County. BCM has grant money available to help get artists started. Don Atwood suggested one possible area of collaboration might be the East County Art Center project. BCM could help to reinvent the idea and get on board to advocate together toward future development of this project. Julie Kovash discussed that a new feasibility study might be in order due to more recent growth of the area since the last study. Maybe an update would be prudent. Lynn
