All present were in favor. <br /> <br />X. City Staff Update - Kathy M.lJulie S <br /> <br />Coal Creek Crossing running race/event 5K, 10 mile, and kids race needs <br />volunteers. Event is scheduled for September 6, 2009. <br /> <br />City Budget reviews for 2010 are currently taking place. LCC funding could/will <br />probably be reduced. <br /> <br />Memory Square landscape renovations has been shifted to focus on the back <br />side of the art center building. Renovations will be made later this year or next <br />year. There will be a marquee installed for programming posters/advertising. <br /> <br />XI. City Council - Frost Y. <br /> <br />The recommended budget change for LCC regarding city funding is proposed to <br />be reduced from $10,300 to $2,300. LCC will be discussed at the next City <br />Council working session next Tuesday. <br /> <br />XII. Events: <br /> <br />Art in the Park - Maryan J. <br /> <br />Due to projected future budget reductions, this project needs to be restructured. <br />LCC is determined to make Art in the Park happen, but first needs to redefine the <br />scale and logistics of the project. Maryan will clearly define a "Plan A" and "Plan <br />B" to LCC members at next meeting to define the scope of the project. She will <br />then have a work session with the city to further define the next steps. A Call for <br />Artists will go out after the 1st of the year. <br /> <br />Summer Movie Series - Julie K. <br /> <br />The movies were not well attended. Suggested reasons were: target audience, <br />venue (more popular when it was at the park in the past), too late of a start due <br />to late summer sunsets. <br />
