9.1 10.0 Strategy for Addressing Housing Needs. Provide a brief description of the PHA's strategy for addressing the housing needs of families in the jurisdiction and on the waiting list in the upcoming year. LHA has achieved its stated goals in the previous 5 -year plan by: 1) LHA has kept its Occupancy rate for Public Housing at or nearly at 100% for 2008 and 2009; 2) Successfully expended all CFP funds including the ARRA funds on LHA public housing upgrades; 3) LHA has collaborated with neighborhood organizations sharing with them affordable housing opportunities from LHA's available housing; 4) LHA will continue to improve on its efficiencies to ensure that vacancies are made available within 15 days of vacated; 5) Established adequate and effective internal controls to ensure completion of each required document; 6) Ensured accurate and timely submission of all required documentation; increased cash reserve balances 7) Completed numerous energy- efficiency upgrades to its units. 8) Successfully transitioned the 27 -unit HCV program to BCHA to ensure that no residents in Louisville lost their vouchers due to budget shortfalls.
