Mayer offered a friendly amendment that condition No. 3 be kept, but amended as follows: eliminate <br />all wording down through "....Department,, and". It shall now read in total "Shall be consistent with <br />the City's Downtown Improvement Plan." <br />Howard and seconder Mayer accepted that. Howard added condition No. 4 that staff review the <br />signage. Mayer accepted that. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7 0 vote. <br />Howard moved that Council approve the revocable license, seconded by Keany. All in favor. <br />PEDESTRIAN MALL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 30, SERIES 1997 PEDESTRIAN MALL PUBLIC HEARING <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that in order to comply with the state's statute, the Mall <br />Act, it is necessary to adopt Resolution 30 and Ordinance No. 1262. The state requirements do not <br />require the City to go to a second reading on the ordinance. An agreement had been reached with <br />the Old Louisville Inn. With this, they will have met the requirements for closing off the street right <br />of -way and using it for pedestrian purposes. <br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on Resolution No.3.0. <br />NONE <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments or motions. <br />Mayer moved that Council approve Resolution No. 30, Series 1997, to establish a pedestrian mall <br />in Old Town Louisville, seconded by Keany.
