LSVL. TIMES 12/20/97)

Light read by title only Ordinance No. 1275, Series 1997, "An ordinance repealing certain sections
of Chapter 16.32 of the Louisville Municipal Code which currently authorize the Louisville City
Council to waive or defer certain annexation and subdivision requirements which are not required by
State law."

Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated the Council adopted an Ordinance in 1996 that amended
the Louisville Municipal Code which authorized the City Council to waive or defer one or more
annexation requirements and dedication requirements related to those annexations. This Ordinance
was adopted in response to the annexations of another municipality in the Louisville South Sub-Area.
This Ordinance No. 1275, Series 1997, if adopted, will repeal those authorities to waive or defer such
annexation or subdivision requirements. This will remove any confusion or uncertainties of their
applicability to future annexations, especially those in the South Sub-Area.

Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on this ordinance.
