Others present were City Attorney Morris. <br /> City Administrator Wirl and City Clerk Santini. <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waichak and Council approved the adnutes <br /> III read. <br /> CCRRESPMEIVE Carcilwaman Phteux moved that the crorcrespcodence <br /> be accepted and placed under the proper head of <br /> business. Seconded by Councilmen DiCarIo. :bti+an <br /> carried. <br /> COUNCIL rte <br /> COAL CSC RETORT lir. Joseph Madonna reported on the Coal Creek <br /> Project. He reported that the engineering study <br /> should be completed sometime in July. He also <br /> stated that until the community has signed the <br /> contract there is nothing binding to any of the <br /> =amities. The importance now is the economics. <br /> who gets what and who pays for it. Mt. :fed ra:a <br /> stated that the amount of people in every Comp- <br /> rehensvie plan figures about 100,000 people. This <br /> • many people could not be supported through Coal <br /> Creek. The project could support approximately <br /> 50,000 people. A formula which dale cram the <br /> Conservation Board is as follows: <br /> Louisville Lafayette Superior Erie <br /> People 20,003 20,000 40Z 4,000 8Z 6,000 12%Y <br /> These figures are not definite. Mr. Madonna <br /> stated that the decision of Council should be made <br /> shortly as to get the economic situation worked out. <br /> He states: that t::e land still had to be tested for <br /> faults, etc. <br /> Mt. Cana rroe asked if the price of the dam wos now <br /> up to approximately 6 million dollars. Mr. Mado rwi <br /> stated that he thought the price of the dam was <br /> about that amount, Mac. Madonna also said that he <br /> did not think the dean could be built for 80,000 <br /> people. Mr. Madame asked that Council give a <br /> stateeent on the matter at the first part of April. <br /> There was no further discussion. <br /> VEMICAN Lem!
