Councilwoman Dhieux also asked if it would be fea- sible to enter into the Coal Creek Project since there war so much move- ment in the City on no growth and opposition to Sproul annexing. Mr. Weir]. said that this was not the final com- mittment on the project. Councilman Berry stated that even if the City does not grow we will still need a portion of the Coal Creek Project. Council woman Scholl stated that she felt she did not have enough knowledge on the subject to come up with a decision and she would like to have a work session. Councilwoman Dhieux was opposed to a work session. Councilman Domenico stated he could not understand why everyone was • now being so cautious as to the purchase of water as it will always be a needed resource. Councilman DiCarlo stated that the City should approve the figures and be the first ones on record to agree. Mr. Wurl stated that Erie had ahead agreed with their portion. Roll cal Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl Tee', .'4 • Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. COUNCIL & COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilman Domenico reported on the Police Commission meeting. Mayor Waschak stated that he had asked Mr. Morris to check into the carrying of weapons, anyone under the age of 21. Mr. Wall stated that Mr. Morris advised him that legally the Code Enforcement Officer can carry a weapon, but it is Councils perogative to disagree with this. Councilwoman Dhieux stated that to be a state patrolmen the person must be at least 23 years old, and most applica- tions for law officers 'within the state carry the 21 year age limit. Councilwoman Scholl asked for a building inspectors report on the property located at the corner of McKinley and Walnut. Also, Councilwoman Scholl asked if Mr. Wurl had c ck the situation on Spruce and ! staffed that the matter was being handled. -2-
