Councilwoman <br /> Dhieux also asked if it would be fea- <br /> sible to enter into the Coal Creek <br /> Project since there war so much move- <br /> ment in the City on no growth and <br /> opposition to Sproul annexing. Mr. Weir]. <br /> said that this was not the final com- <br /> mittment on the project. Councilman <br /> Berry stated that even if the City does <br /> not grow we will still need a portion <br /> of the Coal Creek Project. Council <br /> woman Scholl stated that she felt she <br /> did not have enough knowledge on the <br /> subject to come up with a decision and <br /> she would like to have a work session. <br /> Councilwoman Dhieux was opposed to a <br /> work session. Councilman Domenico stated <br /> he could not understand why everyone was • <br /> now being so cautious as to the purchase <br /> of water as it will always be a needed <br /> resource. Councilman DiCarlo stated <br /> that the City should approve the figures <br /> and be the first ones on record to agree. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that Erie had ahead <br /> agreed with their portion. Roll cal <br /> Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl Tee', .'4 <br /> • Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL & COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilman Domenico reported on the <br /> Police Commission meeting. <br /> Mayor Waschak stated that he had asked <br /> Mr. Morris to check into the carrying <br /> of weapons, anyone under the age of 21. <br /> Mr. Wall stated that Mr. Morris advised <br /> him that legally the Code Enforcement <br /> Officer can carry a weapon, but it is <br /> Councils perogative to disagree with this. <br /> Councilwoman Dhieux stated that to be <br /> a state patrolmen the person must be <br /> at least 23 years old, and most applica- <br /> tions for law officers 'within the state <br /> carry the 21 year age limit. <br /> Councilwoman Scholl asked for a building <br /> inspectors report on the property <br /> located at the corner of McKinley and <br /> Walnut. <br /> Also, Councilwoman Scholl asked if Mr. <br /> Wurl had c ck the situation on Spruce <br /> and ! staffed that the matter <br /> was being handled. <br /> -2- <br />
