Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman DiCarlo asked if it is legal <br /> to withhold payments because of the fail- <br /> ure to put a safety fence up or some type <br /> of safety factor. "- The contrac- <br /> tor has been informed. <br /> • <br /> BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT Mr. Mel Stephan the City Building Inspec- <br /> tor was asked several questions on the <br /> old Baptist Church, also questions in <br /> regards to the inspecting of the Noonan <br /> iproperty. Mr. Stephan stated that the <br /> nspection was on request of the loan <br /> company. <br /> Mayor Waschak stated that Mr. A: Aguero <br /> asked if the City could do anything with <br /> the gasoline storage drums across the <br /> street from his home. <br /> Mr. Helart reported that Parks 6 Rec have <br /> received two grants. One for $30,000.00 <br /> for Cottonwood Park, a $10,000.00 grant <br /> was alms received for tennis courts. The <br /> tennis courts were originally planned to <br /> be placed in Louisville North subdivision. <br /> Due to the slow development the courts <br /> would be placed in a field. Mr. Helart <br /> stated that he would like Council to <br /> consider the possibility of placing some <br /> type of recreation at the south end of <br /> the City. Parks & Rec. may accept land <br /> but they can not legally purchase it. <br /> Mr. Helart stated that he would have to <br /> notify the state as to where the courts <br /> would be within about one month to get the grant, <br /> 2. <br />
