Celentrin 80027 MINUTES OF LOUISVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION MEETING, JULY 18, 1974 Vice-Chairman, Jerry King called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Members Present: Absent: Others Present: J. King K. Helart Dick Ferguson- L. Springer B. Stahr Dick Bodhaine J. Purcell Don Pickett R. Pickett Members of Baptist Church Parks & Recreation Director, August Hioco COTTONWOOD PARK: Discussed plans of Cottonwood Park. It was decided that more specific plans of the water line and church plans would be needed before any progress could be made with the park plans. A special meeting was set at the Baptist Church on July 27th at 6:00 P.M. City Engineer, Dan White will he asked to attend to discuss water line. Also, Reverend Greene of the Baptist Church will be asked to have church plans and landscaping plans available at the meeting. ELECTION OF NEW MEMBER: Voting for a new member for Parks and Recreation Commission was held. Mr. Don Pickett was chosen. Mr. Pickett received 3 votes and Mr. Vick boanaine 1•Cr:eivLd ;.nc vste. A memo will he sent to City Council informing them and asking their approval on this election. Letters of thanks will be sent to Mrs. Sheila Ryan, Mr. Dick Bodhaine, and Mr. Chuck ;carpella for their interest . MAINTENANCE: • Problems with tennis court lights will be taken care of by Larry Springer. PARKS & RECREATION PICNIC: A combination picnic and splash party was planned for Sunday, August 18th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Chairwomen for this • • affair are Ricky Pickett and JoAnn Purcell. All married Parks and Recreation employees and families and single employees are invited to this picnic . The members decided that each family will bring a potluck dish. Drinks, hamburger and buns will be provided by the board. BILLS: City Market, coffee for office personnel $ 4.46 cant'd.
