i o <br /> CfADMINISTRAT31 <br /> P123 DISTRICT Mr. /url stated that he met with the fire <br /> department! to discuss the district. <br /> The fire department agrees with tbsplaa to <br /> faros fire district. <br /> Me stated that one of the things the depart. <br /> rat is working on is the boundary desorip- <br /> tioo. <br /> Mr. Furl stated that he informed the <br /> fire department that Council would take <br /> care of the costs for the change since it <br /> was their request to form the district. <br /> Councilman De]Pizzo stated that he did not <br /> like the idea of turning over all the <br /> equipment and the fire hall to the depart- <br /> ment. <br /> Councilman Caranci stated that it would be <br /> cheaper to have the district because this <br /> way there would be cash flow from outside <br /> tie city, through the entire district which <br /> would help defray costs of the citizens of <br /> the City. <br /> Council voiced their opinions on having the <br /> fire department go outside the City. <br /> Mr. Burl stated that the fire department <br /> asked if the City would still turn over <br /> the property Mizel had set aside for a fire <br /> station. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that he said that the Coun- <br /> cil probably would. <br /> There was no further discussion. <br /> C.E.T.A. PROGRAM Mr. Wurl stated that every year the City <br /> EMPLOYMENT FUNDING has applied to C.E.T.A. for funding on <br /> new employment that was budgeted for in <br /> the year. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that the City has gotten <br /> approval for a draftsman and clerk typist; <br /> however, be would like to have Councils <br /> approval to go back to C.E.T.A. and re- <br /> quest for a draftsman and maintenance man <br /> instead of • typist. <br /> Mr. Burl stated that these a_ire temporary <br /> jobs, but C.E.T.A. would lire to see them <br /> turn into full time jobs if possible. <br /> Mr. Wurl stated that the City could not take <br /> them full time, but would keep them through- <br /> out 1977. <br /> After discussion, Councilman DiCarlo moved <br /> that the City Administrator be authorized <br /> to proceed with the C.E.T.A. funding re- <br /> questing a draftsman and maintenance man. <br /> Seconded by Councilman McDonald. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> -7- <br />
