Councilman McDonald moved that the City • take money from the 1978 Fire Department budget to pay for repairs on the Mack Lire truck engine. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. Caranci no, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. PUBLIC SERVICE FRANCHISE Mr. Turl stated that he has talked with the Public Service Co. and they have de- livered a proposed franchise, which will be discussed at the next meeting. CRP GRANT Mr. Turl stated that sometime back Council approved staff work to file for a grant from FHA for the CBD improvements; the grant was not approved. Mr. ■url stated that in talking with FHA again he felt it would be a good time to apply again for the grant. He requested that Council authorize staff to again apply for the grant. Councilman McDonald moved that staff be authorized to proceed to apply for a grant from FHA for CBD improvements Stage I. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Motion carried. Councilman Domenico moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Motion carried. COUNCIL COMETS & REPORTS CD APPLICATION Mayor Taschak stated that he spoke with Mr. Chenoweth that the applications was not quite ready to be presented to Council and he asked if Council could have an adjournea meeting or if they would give permission to the Mayor to sign the application with the line items that Council bad approved. -8-
