41/ • • <br /> REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL JULY 18 1978 <br /> Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7: 30 P.M. with the <br /> following Council members present: DiCarlo, Meier, Caranci, Kilker and <br /> DelPizzo. Excused Absence : Councilman DiLorenzo. Others present: <br /> City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Joss, City Treasurer Hesson, <br /> Community Development Director Drumm and City Clerk Stahl. <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Councilman Kilker requested that the minutes <br /> of the July 6, 1978, meeting be corrected - <br /> under CITY HALL REMODEL REPORT, Councilman <br /> Kilker voted "NO" on the motion authorizing <br /> the contract with Cobern & Assoc. for necessary <br /> architectural work to remodel City Hall. <br /> Councilman Meier requested that the ADJOURN- <br /> MENT motion be corrected - with Councilman <br /> DiCarlo making the motion to adjourn and <br /> Meier seconding the motion. <br /> After corrections , Mayor Waschak and Council <br /> approved the minutes of the July 6, 1978, <br /> meeting. <br /> ENCLOSURERS Councilman DiCarlo moved that the enclosurers <br /> be accepted and brought up under the proper <br /> head of business. Seconded by Councilman <br /> DelPizzo. Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> SOLAR HEATING FOR Council was informed that there was no grant <br /> SWIMMING POOL money for the project. <br /> Mr. Drumm briefed Council on the project, <br /> stating that the Parks & Rec Roard would like <br /> to cut costs on heating the swimming pool <br /> and they had called for bids on solar heating. <br /> He stated that two firms submitted bids ; <br /> Federal Energy Corp. - $17,000 and Alter- <br /> native Heating Systems - $24,000. It was <br /> recommended by the Board and Mr. Drum that <br /> the bid be awarded to FEDCO for $17 ,000. <br /> He also stated that the solar heat would help <br /> to heat a portion of the community building. <br /> Councilman Meier asked what the pay back <br /> schedule was. Mr. Drumm stated that the time <br /> was 9.5 years for the initial pay back of <br /> $17 ,000. <br /> Councilman Meier asked what would be the pur- <br /> pose of a pool cover with solar heat. <br /> Mr. Drumm stated that the cover would help <br /> keep the water heated and cut down the <br /> enemy needed to heat the water. <br /> • <br /> MUTES <br /> _ _ _ <br />
