41/ 411 • REGULAR M8E'!'INC IISI � cI1 mum= AUGUST _1, 1978 Mayor Waschak called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with this follow- ing Council members resent: DiCarlo, Maier, Caranci, Kilker and Naftali*. Excused Absence: Councilman DiLoranzo. Others present: City Administrator blurt, City Attorney Joss, City Treasurer 8assva, City Engineer Jicinsky, Community Development Dirac. Drums and City Clark Stahl. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of the July 18, 1978, meeting as presented. Ei1CLOSURERS Councilman DiCarlo moved that anclosurers be accepted and brought up under the pro- per head of business. Seconded by Coun- cilman Caranci. Motion carried. COUNCIL ITEMS SOLAR HEATING SWIMMING Mr. Ron Slater, representing FEDCO. POOL - AWARD BID gave an explanation of how the set up works to collect solar energy and use it fo;: heating. He stated that the plan would be guaranteed and would provide approximately 377 of the necessary heating. It was stated by the FEDCO Engineer that maintenance costs would be about $50.00 per year. After discussion, Councilman Caranci moved that the bid be awarded to FEDCO in the amount of $17,000. Seconded by Council- man DiCarlo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes and DiCarlo•yes. Motion carried. HOUSING AUTHORITY Mayor Waschak stated that the vacancy APPOINTMENT had been advertised and there was only one applicant, Mr. Bob Jones. Councilman DiCarlo moved that Hr. Bob Jones be appoinced to fill the vacancy on the Housing Authority Board. Seconded by Councilman Meier. ,lotion carried. LIQUOR LICENSE - KELLY Attorney Joss stated that everything was REXRRINC in order and that the police report 'gill be available by the public hearing. Councilman DiCarlo moved that a public h2;erir4 be set on the l:e11y liquor li- cense application for, September 5 , 1978 . Seconded by Councilman Meier. Notion carried. INUTES
