Seconded <br /> by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. <br /> SAFEWAY 3.2% BEER LICENSE Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing <br /> REQUEST - PUBLIC HEARING for Safeway's 3.2% beer license request. <br /> Attorney Joss reported that the appli- <br /> cation was in order and the proper notices <br /> had been posted and published. <br /> Mr. Vic Boog, representing Safeway, pre- <br /> sented Council with the plans for the <br /> sales. <br /> Mr. Henry Cominallo, Dist. Mgr. , gave <br /> a brief testimony stating that he has <br /> managed stores with the 3.2% beer li- <br /> cense and that the bear would be located <br /> in the rear of the store and sold only <br /> for consumption off premises. <br /> Mr. Max Scott of Oedipus explained the <br /> petitions favoring the license noting <br /> that out of 1,086, 932 signed in favored <br /> the license. <br /> With no other comments Mayor Waschak <br /> closed the public bearing. <br /> Councilman DelPizzo asked Mr. Coninello <br /> what the plans were for hiring courtesy <br /> clerks. <br /> Mr. Cominello stated- that applications <br /> would be taken at the store and they would <br /> try to fill the jobs by people in the <br /> City. <br /> With no other comments Councilman DelPisza <br /> moved that the Safeway liquor license <br /> application for 3. 2% beer to be sold for <br /> consumption off the premises be approved. <br /> Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br /> cnrr i ed. <br />
