After discussion Council instructed staff to look into controlled burning and con- tacting the parties responsible for main- taining the vacant areas and see if they can be persuaded to keep weeds cut and possible plowing. Council also stated that the weed ordinance should be reviewed along with the court procedure on violators, and also the possibility of a pest ordinance. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT . ORDINANCE NO. 686 Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 686 on DIGIACOMO-TESONE second reading by title only, stating that ANNEXATION SECOND it was published in full on June 18, and READING PUBLIC TEARING notice of public hearing was published on June 25 and July 2, 1980. Mayor Waschak opined the public hearing. There were no comments, public hearing was closed. Councilman Meier asked about the sidewalk installation. Mr. Wurl noted that the City has applied for an SOS grant and hopefully that will cover the cost. After comments , Councilman Fauson moved that Ordinance No. 686 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Roll call . Ayes: Meier, Domenico, Caranci , Carnival and Fauson. Noes: None. Motion carried 5-0. ORDINANCE NO. 687 Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 687 on DI GIACOMO-TESONE second reading by title only, stating that ZONING SECOND READING it was published in full on June 18, and PUBLIC NEARING notice of public hearing was published on June 25, and July 2, 1980. Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing . There were no comments , public bearing was closed. It was noted by staff that the requested zoning was R-L.
