ORDINANCE N0. 688 Attorney Joss read Ordinance No 688 on OVERSIZED VEHICLES second reading by title only, stating that it was published In full on June 18, and notice of public hearing on June 25 and July 2, 1980. Mayor Vaschak opened the public hearing. K. M. Hardwick, 1405 Garfield Ct. stated that he was in favor of the ordinance and noted that the property owners in that area had signed a petition, which was pre- sented to Council , in support of the ord- inance. After discussion Councilman Meier moved that Ordinance No. 688 be adopted. Se- conded by Councilman Caranci . Roll call . Ayes : Caranci , Domenico , Fauson, Meier, Carnival . Noes: None. Motion carried 5-0 ORDINANCE NO 689 All members of Council had before them a SPEED LIMIT DESIGNATION copy of Ordinance No. 689 for their re- FIRST READING view and files. Mr. hurl noted that the study on traffic showed that the recommended speed on So. Boulder Rd. was 35 M.P.H. Engineer Blanchard explained have the speed limit recommendati on was derived. After discussion by Council and staff Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance No. 689 be published as is with the 25 M.P.H. Seconded by Councilman Caranci . Ayes: Domenico Noes: Caranci , Carnival , Meier and Fauson Motion defeated 4-1 . It was then recommended by Councilman Carnival that the speed recommendation be changed from 35 to 30 M.P.H. After comments Councilman Carnival moved that Ordinance No. 689 be changed from 25 M.P.H. to 30 M.P.H. on So. Boulder Rd. published as changed and a public hearing set for August 5, 1980. Seconded by Coun- cilman Fauson.
