. z •
Page -3-
B. M.R.C. Proposal - Council Authorization.
We are requesting council authorize the Mayor and Clerk to
sign the proposal. Chief Accountant Caranci has written
a memo outling this in further detail. In terms of the
dollars in every city they have done this for they have
been able to get some refunds for the city and for the
employees. It would not cost the city anything to have
this done and might make us a few bucks.
C. Boulder Community Hospital Request.
Sometime ago in during the annexation for the Centennial Valley
site, we had worked out an agreement with the Hospital people
to locate in that area. What has happened is the City of Lafayette
has been working with St. Anthony's Hospital and they are
putting the pressure on the Community Hospital people to do
something much sooner than they had anticipated. or they
will sign with St. Anthony's and the Boulder oriented hospital
would not be able to compete. As part and parcel of that
Lafayette is requiring that the Community Hospital facility
be located within the corporate limits of Lafayette, in
close proximity to Louisville in order to serve our city
but it would be actually inside their city limits. I am
enclosing copies of correspondence from them, also a copy
of the original agreement and Mr. Art Tanner the chief
financial officer for Community Hospital, and a resident
of Louisville, will be in attendance at the meeting to answer
any questions council might have.
Item 9. Council comments and committee reports.
Item 10. Approval of the Bills .
Item 11. Adjournment
