. • <br /> 7/20/82 Page -10- <br /> LAFAYETTE CITY COUNCIL - JOINT Director Rupp had provided cotmcilmembers <br /> MEETING with a suggested agreement between the <br /> Cities of Louisville and Lafayette and <br /> to date Lafayette had not replied <br /> LOUISVILLE CHAMBER OF Administrator Wurl advised $1,000.00 would <br /> COMMERCE - DUES OR DONATION be available from the General Fund, if <br /> Council so desired. <br /> MOTION TO DONATE $500.00 Councilman Leary moved, Councilwoman Morris <br /> seconded that Council give a $500. 00 grant <br /> to the Louisville Chamber of Commerce pur- <br /> suant to the conditions that were outlined <br /> in the letter Council had received from them <br /> for the request . <br /> Councilman Leary The reason for his motion was that the money <br /> may be in the General Fund but felt that <br /> it may have been transferred into the General <br /> Fund that was primarily intended for water <br /> maintenance projects, etc. It was his opin- <br /> ion that a fiscal position must become a <br /> high priority for this Council. <br /> Councilman Cussen Inquired if the $500 grant would defray <br /> the costs of the maps of the City which <br /> the Chamber of Commerce had proposed to <br /> be printed. <br /> Administrator Wurl advised it was his opin- <br /> ion the cost of the maps would be $425.00. <br /> Mayor Meier Felt that the $1,000.00 figure was requested <br /> by the Chamber as this was the one most big <br /> companies were donating as their share. <br /> Councilman Cussen Inquired if the $500 grant would be for what <br /> period of time i.e. on a yearly basis. <br /> Mayor Meier felt this would be on a yearly <br /> basis but if the Chamber had a project that <br /> would be to the benefit of the general public <br /> they would come back to Council and request <br /> more funding. <br /> Question called for on the motion. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> MEDICAL CENTER - PLANNING Mr. Wurl advised he was unable to contact <br /> MEETING Art Tanner; but the Lafayette Planner advised <br /> that the Planning Commission will consider, <br /> next Monday. the petition to annex the outdoor <br /> theater property for the Medical Center. <br /> Wurl to make arrangements to set up a date <br /> for the meeting when Tanner returns . <br />
