• 410 <br /> 7/20/82 Page -11- <br /> WATER AGREEMENTS - DUFFY, Each councilmember had a copy of the agree- <br /> JENSEN, CLYNCKE ments - request to defer the Jensen agreement <br /> but authorization from Council for the Duffy <br /> and Clyncke agreements, for the Mayor and <br /> Clerk to sign. <br /> AUTHORIZATION - DENNIS Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Fauson <br /> DUFFY WATER AGREEMENT & seconded that the Mayor and Clerk be author- <br /> MARION CLYNCKE WATER ized to sign the Dennis Duffy and Marion <br /> AGREEMENT Clyncke water agreements. <br /> Councilwoman Morris Requested clarification on the agreements. <br /> Administrator Wurl advised the Duffy agree- <br /> ment was for 10 shares of Davidson Ditch <br /> water for our standard offer of $1 ,000.00 <br /> per share and the Clyncke water agreement <br /> for 13.92 shares of Davidson Ditch water. <br /> Wurl further explained that these were <br /> junior shares but the benefit to the City <br /> is the availability in the high water time, <br /> and with the City's storage agreement with <br /> Marshall these become a good water source <br /> for the City. <br /> Question called for on the motion. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> DENVER WATER BOARD PROPOSAL Administrator Wurl advised the continued <br /> meeting on this proposal was cancelled because <br /> more information relating to alternate pro- <br /> posals to Denver' s were being contemplated. <br /> The time was just too limited to develop <br /> anything meaningful for Council to consider. <br /> Council members had a copy of the latest <br /> proposal from the Denver Water Board as <br /> well as a letter from Mr. Noel Hobbs, the <br /> City Water Consultant of his recommendations. <br /> NOEL HOBBS Stated formerly he was with the Denver Water <br /> Division Manager of Gree_.. le Department for approximately 17 years and <br /> and O'Mara of Denver had seen a lot of changes in the water develop= <br /> ment occur during this time. Explained that <br /> the Denver Water Board has a surplus of <br /> water at the present time and have contractural <br /> agreements with various suburbs to buy this <br /> water. Their attempt at this time is to <br /> allow the suburbs to participate in the <br /> development of Denver s water supply in <br /> two ways - one is funding a portion of an <br /> EIS study (Environmental Impact Study) <br /> which will be done by the Corps. of Engineers <br /> with a third party consultant.
