The amount of time and energy <br /> put into the report was very clear. <br /> Councilwoman Johnson Commented that she would be willing to go <br /> with the 3 day watering plan; but she was <br /> following the recommendation of Director of <br /> Public Works Reach who had a thorough knowledge <br /> of the capabilities of the system. It appeared <br /> that most of the concern was about lawns; while <br /> the primary concern expressed by Mr. Kaach <br /> was assurance that there would be sufficient <br /> water for fighting fires and domestic use. <br /> Therefore, felt that the off day was necessary. <br /> Mrs. Johnson suggested that the City make a <br /> good will gesture to the residents by issuing <br /> passes to the swimming pool (From the audience <br /> a gentleman stated he wanted to water his lawn <br /> not go swimming) . Councilwoman Johnson suggested <br /> that people in the audience be allowed to speak <br /> at this time expressing suggestions of how <br /> this dilemma might be dealt with. <br /> RECESS Mayor Meier called a recess at 8:45 P. M. and <br /> requested that anyone wishing to speak sign <br /> up and he would call on them to do so. <br /> The meeting reconvened at 8:55 P.M. <br /> Councilwoman Morris Commented when we plan for water demands for <br /> next summer and for what our capacities will <br /> be - it was brought to her attention by a <br /> neighbor that a lot of the people that are <br /> looking at the condition of their lawns and <br /> trying to figure out what they are going to <br /> do next summer, i.e. resod or reseed. If <br /> this is the case the demand will be much <br /> higher. <br /> Mr. Kaach stated this factor had been placed <br /> in the figures presented for 1985. <br /> Jerry Foster, 2395 Paramont Mx. Foster stated that he was a plumber for <br /> 9 years; is currently a Colorado University <br /> Professor. When he was a plumber, his firm <br /> built the water filtration plant for the City <br /> of Laramie, Wyoming, which is 3 times the <br /> size of the one in Louisville. The things <br /> that bothered him in this whole issue were <br /> (1) is the lack of a consistent policy. In <br /> his case in Ward I they have been called twice <br /> when the policy was changed. He didn't care <br /> which way he was asked to go - whether it was <br /> a 3-day watering plan or 4-day watering plan; <br /> but he felt once the population knew which, <br />
