Mr. Luce stated we're not inclined <br /> to badge bets for safety, adding improvements <br /> to South Boulder Road is not an issue of <br /> future building permits but present ones. <br /> It was his recommendation that Council deny <br /> the proposal. <br /> Mayor and Council concurred with Councilman <br /> Luce's remarks and will review the proposal <br /> after the improvements have been made to <br /> the Water Treatment Plant, testing has been <br /> done and verified figures are provided by <br /> the Public Works Department. <br /> JOHN RUPP - PAY APPROVAL AS Councilman Cussen reported that Mayor and <br /> INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR Councilmembers had met with Mr. Rupp on <br /> this matter and he agreed to wait until <br /> the next Council meeting to settle on an amount. <br /> TABLED Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Luca seconded <br /> that this item be tabled until the August 7th <br /> City Council meeting. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS AND ZONING Councilmembers had copies of letters from <br /> ADJUSTMENTS _ BOARD APPOINT- Bob Ross and Leon A. hurl stating their <br /> MENTS interest in serving on this Board. <br /> APPOINTED Councilman Luce moved, Councilman Fauson <br /> seconded that Bob Ross be appointed as a <br /> full member to the Board of Adjustments and <br /> Appeals and Leon A. hurl be appointed as an <br /> alternate member. Mr. Wurl's appointment not <br /> to be effective until Monday, July 23, 1984. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> LDC STREET CLOSURE • Councilmeambers had a copy of the letter from <br /> the Louisville Development Corporation re- <br /> questing the closure of 3 blocks of Main <br /> Street from South Street to Pine from the <br /> hours of 10:00 All. to 5:00 PM to promote a <br /> "Sidewalk Sale Day. <br /> Request Granted Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Luce <br /> seconded that the LDC be granted their re- <br /> quest for the street closure with the assur- <br /> ance that the Fire Chief be contacted for <br />
