WILLIAMS CONCRETE
PAY ESTIMATE f2 A pay estimate was received by Rundley late last
week and although it was not included in Council's
packet, Williams is seeking payment in the amount
of $354,600.00.
Mayor Meier moved that Pay Estimate #2 be approved
for payment. Cussen seconded the motion.
Luce expressed hie concern that contractors know
the schedule for submitting pay estimates to
Council and that in this case, the Council meeting
was delayed allowing two additional days due to
the Special Election and would vote against the
motion.
Fauson concurred but would not vote against this
pay estimate. However, he cautioned that this in
no way would set a precedent. He would not
approve late requests in the future.
Vote on the motion to approve Pay Estimate i2 for
Williams Concrete by Roll Call - Meier, yes; Luce,
no; Morris, yes; Fauson, yes; Johnson, no; Leary,
yes ; Cussen, yes. Motion approved 5-2.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
EVALUATION An evaluation was put together by the Economic
Development Council of Colorado. The Chamber of
Commerce is looking at having a survey team from
the Economic Development Council come to
Louisville and do an assessment of economic
community development efforts in the Community.
Hundley asked Council to complete the survey
attached to back of the evaluation packet. Staff
will be sending out the survey to approximately
75-100 people in the next two to three weeks.
This will give the survey team an idea of the
feelings and sentiments about different areas in
the community. This should prove very useful as
Council discusses with the Chamber ways to attract
commercial and industrial growth into the City.
LDC LETTER - FALL
FESTIVAL INFORMATION A letter was submitted by the LDC including the
schedule of events for the Fall Festival. Mayor
Meier asked staff to meet with Ernie Marinelli of
the LDC to couplet. and approve the details of the
various events.
COUNCIL COMMENTS Luce referred to the Planning Commission Minutes
included within Council ' s packet. Comments made
by members of the Commission disturbed Luce with
regard to staff' s integrity in the sharing of
information relative to some announcements that
9
