He asked that if Council did feel <br /> uncomfortable with any portion of the new <br /> contract, that they give staff direction as to <br /> what items they felt should be changed. <br /> Cussen spoke in favor of the Change Order under <br /> the circumstances saying staff had put together a <br /> reasonable alternative to the original contract <br /> and that he would vote against the motion to table <br /> the Change Order request. Cussen felt that <br /> sufficient information was available to allow the <br /> change order to be approved. <br /> Luce asked what process would need to take place <br /> to include further work on the project in 1985 if <br /> by any chance monies became available. <br /> Mayor Meier recommended additional change orders <br /> to allow for this possibility. Burns concurred <br /> stating that he felt the contractor would be <br /> amenable to additional work orders. <br /> Meier call for a vote on the motion to table the <br /> Change Order. By roll call , the vote was Meier, <br /> no; Luce, yes; Morris, no; Fauson, no; Johnson, <br /> no; Leary, no; Cussen, no. Motion defeated 6-1 . <br /> Meier call for a vote on the motion to approve <br /> Change Order Si for South Boulder Road <br /> Improvements and amending the Change Order to <br /> include a $1.000 penalty fee per day that the <br /> project goes over the 45 days spelled out in the <br /> contract . Motion approved 6-1 , with Luce voting <br /> no. <br /> Luce asked that staff pursue negotiations with <br /> Columbine and Ponderosa. There was a compromise in <br /> 7 <br />
