There was no one <br /> wishing to speak. <br /> Mayor Fauson moved and Davidson seconded to <br /> adopt Ordinance 01019, Series 1990. By Roll <br /> Call Vote motion passed 6-w0. <br /> ORDINANCt 01020, SERIES 1990 - ST. LOUIS CHURCH ZONING - 2ND <br /> READING, PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> Read by title only, Ordinance #1020, series <br /> 1990, An Ordinance amending Title 17 of the <br /> Louisville Municipal Code entitled "Zoning" <br /> by rezoning property owned by St.- Louis <br /> Catholic Church." Proof of publication and <br /> notice of public hearing were established by <br /> the City Clerk. <br /> Franklin stated the zoning before you in the <br /> ordinance is for R-L (Residential Low Densi- <br /> ty) . Planning Commission did review the <br /> request and adopted Resolution #14 with the <br /> recommendation of R-A (Rural Residential <br /> Zoning) . As Council previously discussed the <br /> "R-L" zoning follows the applicant• request <br /> and staff recosaendation. The council may <br /> amend the zoning ordinance. <br /> APPLICANT: Sob Beauques, representing St. Louis Church. <br /> The church is planning to build a K-i school <br /> on the site in question. Currently we offer <br /> K-i for students. we feel that St. Louis has <br /> survived because of the commitment by the <br /> parish. We believe that a quality of educa- <br /> tion is an important part of our life. The <br /> church purchased the old Harney land a few <br /> years back in anticipation of expanding our <br /> school and church. A building committee was <br /> formed last year to set this idea into mo- <br /> tion . There have bisect a number of rumors <br /> about this project and need to be addressed. <br /> we did contact your staff and did ask what <br /> type of zoning would be appropriate for a <br /> school/church on this site. Staff examined <br /> the city sap and noted that it was surrounded <br /> 6 <br />
