..,.
Ken Hoyle, 10101 Dillon Road, Broomfield, Colorado.
Hoyle: A lot of my concerns have already been
covered by the other gentlemen. I agree with
both of them that there could be a better
routing for this road. I'm convinced that
the road will be built, but I do wish you
would take a look at a possible trade off.
There is a better way to build this road
without removing these 10 homes. I think
you would find that Rock Creek is probably as
close to 287 as you're going to get and you
would probably build an interchange with a
lot less cost then going down Dillon Road.
It seems to me that you are going to have to
build a four lane anyway you do it. I submit
to you that it would be cheaper to build it
through that open land than it would to be to
go down the existing Dillon Road.
Walt Wood, Rt 2 Box 662, Broomfield, Colorado.
Wood: My west fence line is the dividing line
between my property and the City of
Louisville. My east property line is
adjacent to the well know open space where
they raise a lot of prairie dogs. I can not
see why they can't go down through the open
space. The land is no good, so they thought
by fertilizing the land that they would be
able to raise something. It's still prairie
land out there. If this proposed road goes,
as we have been told, they are going to cover
my house up completely. My child, who is
about ready to retire, would like to have my
home and he looks forward to retiring there.
That proposed road would go over my 600 foot
well, it's the first deep well that was
drilled in that area and that would be a
costly item. I would appreciate the
consideration that those who are thinking
about this proposed highway to think of us
and try to utilize some of this open space
that would be more of a benefit to a highway
than it is to the neighbors on Dillon Road.
Howard: Why should Louisville give an unlimited
liability to annexing into the city and in
order to annex we are going to force these
people into paying pro rata all of those
monies. That seems to be a liability that is
not in the best interest of Louisville. So
unlimited liabilities I don't like. Also,
has the County looked at another route, and
6
