..,.

will allow access to the airport and w~~l still be
acceptable to our community. The entire County
will not support the old W-470 or the authority or
tOlling. What we are supporting is a compromise
and needs to remain a compromise. I agree that we
need to make sure there is access on 96th street
and we have local access off of Dillon.

Howard: I seems to me that what Boulder is trying to do is
to achieve all of their gains at the cost of east
county. Again access issues needs to be
addressed. I think it needs to be made clear to
the powers in Boulder that east county is no
longer this small group sitting out here with no
say so. We in east county are being more than
ignored, we are being greatly slighted by this
attitude by the other cities that somehow we don't
matter. Every party needs to be sensitive to the
needs of every other party.

Davidson: I attended the meeting with Councilwoman
Hornbostel and at the meeting anything that the
City of Boulder wanted was included in the words.
Anything that we wanted or Broomfield wanted would
be taken care of at some future time. The
freeway to freeway exchange, they are expecting
Louisville and Broomfield to pay for that. What
they are proposing is nothing close to the
. I don't see it asraginal compromise
compromise at all, I see it for a road for which
the people of the City of Boulder can get to the
airport very fast, but not Louisville. I really
don't see the need to carry this further. They
have decided what they want and what they want is
what the County and City of Boulder want. I see
no reason to continue the public hearing. They
would not consider the homeowners and their needs
or change the route to accommodate these
homeowners.

Mayor Fauson: What will be the topic of the meeting on Thursday
night?

Hornbostel: I was told that this would be the meeting where we
would start from ground zero and we would look at
the road in terms of what Boulder County wanted to
have. I am not sure what we are dealing with. We
were told that our issues would be worked out
later.

Mayor Fauson: My concern was direct access to the airport at
least from Boulder County. Now that Boulder has
come in with Open Space and other things that they
are wanting, I am to the point where I feel we
should get out of this. If we can work at some

6
